  • Pathology: •
    • Pouch or sac branching out from ventricle. •
    • Developmental anomaly
    • Usually found in pediatric patients
      • part of a constellation of congenital defects
      • isolated around 30%).
    • size, ranging from 5 to 80 mm.
    • position
      • apex and perivalvular area
      • not interventricular
    • Subtypes:
      • muscular: originates at the apex and comprises mainly muscular fibers that contract synchronously with the ventricle•
      • fibrous diverticulum: composed of mostly fibrous tissue
      • CT: tubular outpouching arising from the ventricle•
      • MRI: synchronous contractility
      • Potential Complications•
        • Cardiac arrhythmias,
        • endocarditis,
        • systemic emboli,
        • heart failure,
        • cardiac rupture,
